Job summary

CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island, Nebraska, seeks a Student Radiologic Technologist to gain hands-on imaging experience supporting X-ray, CT, and MRI under supervision.

You will learn patient positioning, image quality workflows, and deliver safe, compassionate care, while documenting studies and participating in quality control with a teaching team.

Qualifications

• Senior-level enrollment in a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Medical Radiographer Temporary: NE, upon hire.
• Limited Radiologic Technologist: NE, upon hire.
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs limited diagnostic radiographic procedures. Procedures must not include CT, contrast media, or mammography.
• Performs and ensures safe, age-appropriate patient care holistically.
• Provides patient education and responds to patient questions and concerns.
• Completes documentation of patient x-ray records and Quality Control processes.
• Performs value-added activities that improve financial performance and customer satisfaction.

As our Student Rad Tech, you will gain hands-on experience, supporting diagnostic imaging to aid accurate patient diagnosis.

Every day, you will assist in performing various imaging examinations (X-rays, CT, MRI), learning patient positioning, and contributing to positive patient experiences under supervision.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong eagerness to learn, attention to detail, excellent communication, and a foundational understanding of imaging principles, committed to mastering workflow and image quality.

• Performs limited diagnostic radiographic procedures. Radiographic procedures must not include CT, the use of contrast media, and mammographic equipment.
• Performs and ensures safe, knowledgeable age-specific patient care in a holistic manner.
• Provides patient education and responds to patient and customer concerns.

Pay Range

$21.85 - $30.87 /hour
