Job summary

CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island, NE is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to produce diagnostic images that aid Radiologists in accurate diagnoses and effective patient management.

You will perform X-rays, CT, MRI and fluoroscopy procedures, ensure optimal positioning, apply radiation safety standards, and deliver compassionate patient care while documenting findings for interpretation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program, upon hire.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist Radiography (ARRT), upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
  • Medical Radiographer: NE, upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures. Provides a clear explanation of the procedure including; duration, process, and what to expect following completion.
  • Provides patient education as appropriate.
  • Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
  • Selects proper equipment, setting correct technical factors, procedure protocols and gathers proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure. Recognizes all radiation safety standards including “Image Gently” and “Image Wisely”. Understands and follows all rules around radiation protection including wearing of lead protection when there is a possibility of exposure.
  • Obtains clear and complete history from the patient and/or patient record and records that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

As our Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech), you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions.

Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

To excel, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.

Pay Range

$25.42 - $37.82 /hour
