Job summary

Weber State University is seeking an Assistant Outdoor Educator to support the Outdoor and Community Recreation Education program on campus in Ogden, UT. The position is 20 hours per week and paid at $17.50 per hour, for a 12-month schedule.

The role focuses on assisting with course delivery, supervision of activities, and equipment maintenance. Ideal candidates are undergraduate students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree with a minimum 2.0 GPA, meeting quarterly credit-hour requirements,

Qualifications

• Must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA or higher.
• Must meet the minimum credit hour requirements for the semesters the supervisor is requesting funding (Fall: 12 credit hours, Spring: 12 credit hours, Summer: 6 credit hours or continued work).
• Undergraduate student working on FIRST bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist with course delivery for the Outdoor and Community Recreation Education program.
• Supervise activities and assist with equipment preparation, care and inventory management.
• Interact with students to promote outdoor activities, participation, safety and environmental responsibility.
