Fort Mill School District in Fort Mill, SC seeks a part-time Food Service Operator to supervise a cafeteria team during meal preparation and service. You will ensure meals follow USDA meal pattern, manage production records, and support the Cafeteria Manager in daily operations.
Requires a high school diploma or GED, Serve Safe/HACCP cert or willingness to obtain within a year. Strong teamwork, reliable, and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
To assist Cafeteria Manager in supervising a cafeteria team engaged in the preparation and serving of meals while adhering to federal, state and local guidelines.
High School Diploma, GED or Vocational/Technical training, able to read and comprehend instructions and apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Serve Safe and/or HACCP certified or become certified within a year. Working knowledge of basic school food service practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to understand food service computer programs, experience in the preparation of a large volume of meals, proficient in kitchen operations, ability to lead others in a friendly manner.
Able to work with limited amount of supervision. Able to organize time, establish work priorities, and handle multi tasks. Good oral and written skills. Professionally represent the Student Nutrition Department.
Able to assist, move, push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Be physically able to withstand prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, squatting, walking, reaching, and repetitive movements. Occasional travel may be involved.
