Job summary

Unified School District No in Mize Elementary School is seeking a Student Nutrition - Elementary Kitchen Manager for the 2026-2027 school year. The role manages meal preparation and serving for students and staff, ensuring quality and efficiency in service. The position runs 8 hours daily from 6:00 a.m.

to 2:00 p.m., ASAP start for the 2026-2027 school year. Starting pay is $18.60 per hour, with an excellent benefits package described by USD 232.

Qualifications

• Must pass current TB test (Tuberculosis) or copy of recent TB test results.
• Must pass standardized strength & agility testing requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Must submit pre-employment physical prior to first day of work.

• Leads and participates in preparing and serving food items to students and school personnel at an assigned site.
• Arranges food and beverage items for serving to students and staff in an efficient manner.

Shift Hours: 8.0hours per day, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Position Function (include but are not limited to the following): The kitchen manager effectively, leads and participates in preparing and serving food items to students and school personnel at an assigned site; arranges food and beverage items for the purpose of serving them to students and staff in an efficient manner; monitors kitchen and cafeteria areas and assures a safe and sanitary working environment.

Starting Salary: $18.60/hour - commensurate with experience

Requirements:

• Allemployees must have a current TB test (Tuberculosis). If you've had a recent TB Test (less than 12 months ago) we can accept a copy of your test results. If it's been more than 1 year ago, you will be required to obtain a new test. Employees are responsible for the cost of the test.
