Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in Omaha, NE is seeking a Student Nurse Tech who is pursuing an ADN or BSN to support RN staff and gain hands-on experience in a high-acuity setting.

You'll perform vital signs, assist with daily patient care, and participate in mobility and documentation while aligning with NCLEX requirements and nursing education goals. This per diem 12-hour shift role offers a strong pathway to becoming a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN program) and proof of completion of first year/fundamentals of nursing.
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and aseptic practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with daily care (bathing, hygiene, mobility) and documentation of intake.
• Assist with catheter removal, finger sticks, bladder scans, urine/stool collection and ostomy care.
