Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown, OH, is seeking a Student Nurse Tech (Future Registered Nurse) for a full-time 12-hour night shift. The role supports nursing education with hands-on patient care, vital signs, and routine duties while pursuing ADN/BSN and maintaining BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school and proof of first year completion.
• Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and aseptic practices.
• Strong communication, both written and verbal, with patients and staff.
• BLS certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing and hygiene.
• Assist with urinary catheter removal, finger stick blood sugars, bladder scans and specimen collection.
• Remove peripheral IVs as directed by RN.
• Deliver meals, assist feeding and document oral intake.
• Turn and position immobile patients and support mobility.
• Transport patients to designated areas as needed.
