Mercyhealth is hiring a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Assistant to work under the supervision of an RN. The role provides medical treatment and personal care to hospital and outpatient patients, with opportunities to gain hands-on clinical experience.

Shifts are variable, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call hours. The position emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and confidentiality while supporting performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Assists physician/RN with procedures as needed.

  • Maintains supplies and observes safety procedures.
  • Floats to units as needed and participates in performance improvement.

OVERVIEWUnder the supervision of an RN, provides medical treatment and personal care to hospital and outpatient patients. Works alongside RNs to gain hands-on clinical experience and develop skills needed for an RN role. May work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or on-call hours.
