Job summary

Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL seeks a patient care associate under RN supervision to collect patient data, assist with procedures, review orders, administer treatments, and document care.

You will observe patients, report adverse reactions, maintain supplies, float to units as needed, and participate in performance improvement activities. CPR/BLS certification is required within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of High School or GED preferred.
  • Enrolled in an accredited RN program in good standing with no more than 2 semesters to complete.
  • CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days (ACLS/PALS/PEARS/NRP per unit requirements).

Responsibilities

  • Collects patient data and documents in the medical record.
  • Assists physician/RN with procedures as needed.
