Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Active enrollment at City Colleges of Chicago (Malcolm X College)
• Pursuing an approved educational credential, degree, or certificate
• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 semester hours (pre-credit or credit)
• Maintain good standing with the College and home campus Malcolm X College

Responsibilities

• Advise, guide, and serve as a role model to other students.
• Explain CCC resources and help students access college services.
• Provide study skills and organizational tips to support transition to college life.
• Meet with mentees twice per month and assist in goal setting.
• Record observations and submit reports to supervisor as required.
• Attend mentor training sessions and adhere to CCC standards.
