Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Materials Engineering lab technician to support corrosion testing in a Milwaukee lab. The role involves setting up tests, assisting engineers, handling samples, and maintaining lab equipment while undergoing a bachelor’s-level program.

You will work on-site in Milwaukee, with part-time school-year hours and fuller summer schedules. The role emphasizes hands-on testing, documentation, and safety in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and operation of product corrosion tests in simulated harsh industrial environments.
• Post-test tear down analysis and documentation of results.
• Receive samples and set up products for test.
• Sample prep using machining or cutting equipment and use of lab equipment such as analytical balances.
• Set up test chambers for specified environmental conditions and monitor equipment and products.
• Ensure an uninterrupted supply of consumables to avoid test changes.
• Disassemble products and perform post-test optical analysis.
