Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Firmware Test Intern to join a world-class lab in Milwaukee, WI. You will design automation scripts, document procedures, and perform test activities for new industrial automation products.

You will report to the Firmware and Software Test Manager and work on-site full-time, gaining exposure to a technical environment and real-world applications while developing professional skills and networking within the company.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor visas.
Electrical or computer engineering focus is preferred.
Must be enrolled for at least one more semester after internship; graduation Dec 2027+.
Local or within 50 miles of Milwaukee/Mequon for onsite work.
GPA minimum 2.75; competitive campus recruiting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and development of scripts for automating test procedures
Document test procedures
Execute test procedures for verification of product functionality (manual/automated)
Assistance with lab audit/improvement activities
Resolve and document exceptions and questions
Create test reports
Help with build and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms
