Job summary

Emerson College Los Angeles seeks an Assistant Director of Student Life & Support Services to provide holistic support for students, managing concerns and referrals across ELA and Boston campuses. You will liaise with campus offices to share resources and ensure timely interventions for students in crisis or distress.

The role requires collaboration with multiple departments, experience in case management, and the ability to coordinate programs and trainings for faculty and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in higher education or related field is required; a Master’s in social work or counseling is preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in academic environments with case management and/or counseling.
• Familiarity with student software and management systems such as Maxient, Workday, and Banner.

Responsibilities

• Meet individually with students to provide support and referrals to resources.
• Provide timely follow up with students to ensure ongoing support and engagement with referrals.
• Create and update student cases through online management systems and maintain confidential documents.
• Coordinate with Student Accessibility Services to implement disability support and accommodations.
