Job summary

The SEED School of Miami is seeking a Student Life Counselor to serve as a direct caregiver for students in designated house. The role focuses on creating a safe, secure, productive, and interactive residence environment that supports academic and social goals.

Responsibilities include building trust, monitoring emotional well-being, coordinating with families, and teaching SEED core values and social skills. A bachelor's degree is required and shift runs 3:30 PM–midnight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to work 3:30 - midnight.
• Experience supporting students' academic, social, or emotional needs.
• Experience using behavior management techniques and/or structured incentive systems.

Responsibilities

• Build trust and advocate for students; provide emotional and social guidance; maintain confidentiality; monitor health needs; report concerns.
• Support students and families during orientation and transitions; communicate progress and involve families in decisions.
• Model SEED core values and social skills; foster responsibility and self-management.
• Create a structured study environment; assist with homework; review progress; support college preparation.
• Ensure student safety; encourage participation in leisure and wellness activities.
• Maintain a safe living environment; manage house routines; document progress and plans.
• Participate in training; set goals; seek feedback; evaluate performance with supervisors.
• Perform other tasks as required by supervisor.
