Job summary

The SEED School of Maryland is seeking a part-time Mental Health Counselor to provide counseling, prevention and intervention services to students, primarily during after-school and dormitory hours. This role reports to the Director of Student Support and requires licensure and experience in adolescent counseling.

Responsibilities include crisis management, collaboration with the Student Support Team, and maintaining clinical documentation to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in counseling or social work.
• Maryland Licensed Professional Counselor (LGPC) or Social Worker (LMSW) license required.
• 2–3 years direct experience in adolescent and family counseling, residential/boarding education, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct mental health counseling to students during after-school/dorm hours.
• Maintain clinical documentation and data records.
• Collaborate with Student Support Team to plan interventions.
• Respond to mental health crises and coordinate with staff.
