Job summary

The Town of Dracut seeks a Student Library Page for the M.G. Parker Memorial Library. The role involves shelving materials, keeping shelves neat and in order, and performing related tasks as assigned.

Under the supervision of the Head Circulation Librarian, duties include shelving, pulling Interlibrary Loan items, shelf reading, maintaining appearance, and assisting staff. Position is part-time, approximately 10 hours per week, with a schedule that includes Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Reliable and punctual with good work ethic.
• Able to follow directions and interact courteously with patrons.

Responsibilities

• Shelving books and materials in all areas of the library.
• Searching for requested Interlibrary Loan items (Pull List).
• Shifting and shelf reading to keep collections orderly.
• Searching for missing and lost materials.
• Maintaining the appearance and order of library collections.
• Assisting with requests from other staff.
