Job summary

Blinn College District is seeking a Student Worker - Residence Hall-Front Desk Assistant at Brenham Campus. The role supports the Housing and Residence Life team by staffing the front desk, assisting residents and guests, and maintaining a secure residence hall environment.

Responsibilities include checking IDs, signing in guests, handling keys, monitoring access, and assisting with openings/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be Federal Work-Study eligible.
• Must be a full-time student at Blinn College, including students enrolled at any Blinn campus or through online courses.
• Must be able to work 10–19 hours per week.
• Must be available to work scheduled shifts between 5:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
• Must be available to work assigned residence hall opening and closing periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk, administrative and customer service support.
• Staff front desk and monitor building access.
• Respond to questions and concerns and complete administrative tasks.
• Maintain a professional, confidential demeanor and follow policies.
• Report to the Residence Hall Director and assist with opening/closing tasks.
• Troubleshoot front desk operations and maintain an organized desk area.
• Maintain desk logs, sign-in/out and inventory of keys/equipment.
• Greet residents and visitors and serve as information source.
