Job summary

Del Mar College seeks a Student Assistant - Lab Technician to support the Architecture Labs Pool. The role involves setting up and printing projects on 3D printers and laser cutters, assisting with architectural modeling tasks, and helping maintain the Wood and Metals Shops.

Ideal candidates are current Del Mar College students enrolled in at least 2 courses (6 credits each Fall & Spring) and able to work evenings/weekends. Prior lab experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current Del Mar College student enrolled in a minimum of 2 courses earning 6 credit hours each Fall & Spring semesters while employed.
• Knowledge of lab/shop safety practices and construction technologies.
• Knowledge of 3D printing technology and various CAD/3D modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Receive, setup, and print student files for 3D printing, laser cutters, and other architectural modeling technology.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the labs/shops; uphold lab/shop policies and procedures; maintain entry logs.
• Provide support to faculty and staff; may require evenings and weekends as needed.
