Job summary

Grand Rapids Public Schools is hiring a Student Worker in Grand Rapids, MI to support Food & Nutrition Services. This entry-level role requires the candidate to be at least 14 years old and ready to assist in all kitchen operations under the Kitchen Manager's supervision.

Responsibilities include assisting in production, serving, and cleanup, while maintaining positive interactions with staff, students and the community.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a Grand Rapids Public Schools student.
• Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work well with students and staff.
• Willingness to be trained in all areas of food production.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn proper sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Demonstrated ability to participate as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all areas of production, serving and cleanup.
• Interact with co-workers, administration, parents and the community in a positive, supportive and cooperative manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
