Job summary

Kentwood Public Schools in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a part-time Child Nutrition Production Utility to support cashiering, setup, serving and cleanup in the school kitchen. The schedule is 3 hours per day, 5 days per week across 38 weeks, with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications include strong communication, reliability, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a Current Safety & Sanitation Certificate. Familiarity with Word/Excel and cash handling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff and students.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of breakfast/lunch components and reimbursable meals.
• Experience with cash registers and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Cashier, set-up, serving and clean-up in assigned kitchen.
• Maintain kitchen and equipment per Health Department requirements.
• Assist with inventory and receiving of food orders.
• Assist with food preparation and handling.
• Commit to regular, reliable attendance.
• Assist Director of Child Nutrition Services as needed.
• Travel between school sites may be required.
