Job summary

Amos A. Lawrence School in Brookline, MA is recruiting for members and leaders of its Student Intervention Team (SIT). The SIT identifies students needing additional support, develops goals, and implements data-driven interventions to help succeed in the general education classroom.

The SIT includes a leader and up to seven members with roles spanning counseling, special education, and classroom teaching. Stipends are offered for leaders and members, and district staff will support scheduling

Responsibilities

• Review all SIT referrals and serve as the liaison for the student’s team as they work through the SIT process.
• SIT leaders will use common protocols and procedures provided by the district.
• Will provide feedback to administrators about SIT protocols, procedures, and practices.
• Oversee communication with the student’s team, including scheduling and organizing the initial and follow-up SIT meetings.
• Monitor the implementation of the SIT intervention plan
• Facilitate initial and follow-up SIT meetings.
• Participate in monthly professional development with the Office of Teaching and Learning and the Office of Student Services.
