Job summary

Sylvania is seeking an SITT Supervisor to monitor and support students requiring a break or in‑school suspension or lunch detention. You will help create a structured, quiet learning environment, take attendance, enforce rules, and communicate with teachers and administrators about behavior and progress.

In this role you will model professionalism, fairness, and consistency while supporting students to stay on task and complete assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required (some college preferred).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to remain calm, consistent, and professional in managing student behavior.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for recordkeeping.
• Experience working with students in educational or supervisory settings is a plus.

Job Summary

The SITT Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and supervising students who are in need of a break or timeout to prevent disruptive behavior, and/or assigned to in‑school suspension (ISS) or lunch detention. This role ensures a structured, quiet, and orderly environment where students can complete classwork and reflect on their behavior. Duties include taking attendance, enforcing school rules and expectations, maintaining a safe and respectful atmosphere, communicating with administration and teachers regarding student behavior and assignments, and supporting students in staying on task. The supervisor models professionalism, consistency, and fairness while holding students accountable to school policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor students assigned to SITT.
