The Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District is seeking a dedicated Intervention Assistant to join our educational team. The role supports student interventions by working with small groups and individual students under the guidance of the intervention teacher.

The position emphasizes organization, collaboration with educators, and a commitment to helping students develop effective study habits and learning outcomes. Starting wage is $17.62 per hour; FTE 0.875; 202 days per year.

• Experience working with children in an educational setting.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in the implementation of intervention programs and strategies for students needing additional academic support.
• Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning concepts, provide targeted instruction, and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt instructional materials to meet the specific needs of students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate this information to teachers and other relevant staff members.
• Provide classroom support by helping to manage student behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Assist with the organization and preparation of instructional resources and materials.
• Support students in developing effective study habits and organisational skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the educational objectives of the school.
