Entergy Louisiana, LLC is seeking a Student Intern to assist with operating and maintaining CCGT and simple cycle facilities in Lake Charles, LA. You will follow procedures to improve performance and ensure safety for employees and contractors.

As part of a multi-skill progression plan, you will participate in maintenance and operations activities, attend safety meetings, and support regulatory compliance while developing practical knowledge of plant systems, controls, and data acquisition.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

Working in a team environment to assist in day-to-day activities, including but not limited to:

• Maintain regulatory compliance and be proactive in dealing with all agencies and avoid reportable violations.
• Participation in the multi-year Production Technician multi skill progression plan to develop key skills in maintenance and operations.
• Conduct and participate in job briefings and safety meetings.
• Applies understanding and knowledge of plant systems, burner controls (where applicable), turbine controls, data acquisition, process controls, regulating devices, personal computers, troubleshooting, etc.
• Operational duties include, but not limited to making operational rounds, performing PM/PDM activities, HRSG/Boiler water chemistry, CEMS monitoring and calibrations.
• Perform mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical maintenance as needed

Minimum Education Requirements

• Candidates must be actively enrolled and pursuing a degree with a focus on Instrumentation, Electrical, and/or Process Technology.

• Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student in a technical, associate, bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program (full-time or part-time), pursuing a degree in the relevant field outlined above.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8, verified through an official transcript from the previous semester.
