Job summary

The USVI Office of Disaster Recovery is seeking a Kahua Data Migration Intern to support the transition of project data into the Kahua platform. You will prepare, validate, and migrate data to ensure accuracy and usability in the system.

You will collaborate with project managers and stakeholders, perform data quality checks, and assist in testing migrated data. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, with a focus on timely, accurate data processing.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Mathematics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in migrating data from legacy systems (e.g., spreadsheets, databases).
• Clean, organize, and validate data prior to migration.
• Perform data quality checks and resolve inconsistencies or errors.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements.

Position Summary

The Kahua Data Migration Intern reports directly to the Executive Delivery Manager of the Super Project Management Office, supporting the transition of project data into the Kahua platform. This role involves data preparation, validation, and migration to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability of project information within the system.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in migrating data from legacy systems (e.g., spreadsheets, databases)
• Clean, organize, and validate data prior to migration
• Perform data quality checks and resolve inconsistencies or errors
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather requirements
• Support testing and verification of migrated data within Kahua
• Troubleshoot migration issues and provide basic technical support
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
