Job summary

UNS Energy Corporation in Tucson, AZ invites a Student IT Intern to gain real-world experience while supporting technology services across the organization. You'll assist with asset management, hardware deployment, software support, and IT budgeting tasks.

The role offers hands-on exposure to ServiceNow, hardware imaging, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration; you’ll develop communication and problem-solving skills while working 20 hours per week during school.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Be pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline with an expected graduation date of 2028 or later.
  • Be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during regular business hours; up to 40 hours a week may be available during the summer and school breaks.
  • Must be able to meet regular deadlines.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with reclaimed hardware requests to ensure hardware is returned properly.
  • Asset cleanup within ServiceNow.
  • Assist with inventory, confirming assets assigned to clients.
  • Add software models to ServiceNow.
  • Add hardware models to ServiceNow.
  • Assist with software installation requests.
  • Assist with imaging and/or deploying computers and accessories.
  • Assist with creating documentation.
  • Assist with receiving equipment.
  • Assist with various IT budget/finance tasks as needed.

Failure to maintain full-time status, good academic standing and/or the requisite GPA will result in student being deemed ineligible for participation in the program.Student Interns are employed on a temporary basis and are generally not eligible for some benefits; including holiday pay.Scheduling of work hours and assignments should be made taking into consideration that Student Interns are students first and employees second.
