Job summary

University Partners is hiring a Leasing Consultant in Louisville to support leasing, marketing, and resident relations with a focus on friendly, professional customer service and strong lease execution.

You will conduct tours, review applications, coordinate with marketing efforts, and maintain lease files while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and company policies. Weekend work and multitasking are common aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Leasing, sales, marketing, or customer service experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand and explain lease documents and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents, prospects, guests, and vendors.
• Lease apartments in alignment with occupancy and revenue goals.
• Follow Fair Housing standards in all interactions.
• Conduct tours and present community features and amenities.
• Support marketing and outreach efforts.
• Review applications including income, credit, and background screening.
• Prepare and maintain lease files and required documentation.
• Verify apartment readiness prior to move-in.
• Support lease renewal and retention efforts.
• Track leads, guest cards, and follow-ups in property management systems.
• Respond to calls, emails, and resident communication professionally and timely.
• Assist with work order entry and maintenance communication.
• Support move-in processes including documentation and system setup.
• Maintain leasing office, model units, and amenity presentation.
• Maintain knowledge of market competitors, pricing, and concessions.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of lease terms, unit specifications, availability, current market conditions, and all community policies.
• Ensure understanding of required application information, screening process, policies, and procedures.
