The University of Kansas is seeking a Student Hourly / Work Study for campus mail delivery, library mail tasks, and related duties. Shifts run 8:00 am–10:00 am and 1:00 pm–3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with extra hours possible.
The role requires driving a university-owned vehicle, a good driving record, and a minimum of 9–12 hours per week. Responsibilities include campus mail handling, library mail packaging, and assisting with shipments to Watson Library.
This is a Student Hourly / Work Study position involving campus mail delivery and collection, as well as assisting with KU Libraries mail packaging, processing, periodic projects and daily duties. The position operates Monday through Friday, offering 8:00 am–10:00 am and 1:00 pm–3:00 pm shifts during the week, with additional hours possible around these core times.
The role comprises the following duties:
Percentages listed above are approximations and can vary according to the blocks of time worked, the time of day worked, the days of the week worked, the number of patron requests for library materials we receive, and other variable and situational elements of the job.
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre‑enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
