Job summary

Vincennes University is seeking student workers for Jasper Campus. Positions are part-time hourly and work-study options with shifts in mornings, afternoons, and evenings that can be arranged around your school schedule.

These roles report to the Student Success & Engagement Coordinator. Work hours range from 8-10 hours per week for sanctioned work-study or part-time student employees. Duties include gym operations, safety enforcement, and event support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect all equipment.
• Work at a variety of locations on campus (Ruxer Gym, JCCB Rec Room, ACE, or other event spaces).
• Assist with setup or teardown for events.
• Enforce gym and weight room rules, policies and regulations.
• Inspect the weight room and report unsafe conditions or equipment.
• Become familiar with all gym equipment in the facilities.
• Attend and participate in meetings/trainings.
• Answer questions from visitors.

Student Activities at Vincennes University - Jasper Campus is seeking applicants for their everyday staff positions. Positions to be filled are student part-time hourly and work-study positions. Shifts will be a variety of morning, afternoon, and evening, which can be worked around your school schedule.

Reporting

• This position will report directly to the Student Success & Engagement Coordinator

General Hours

• Work Study Employee – dependent on Federal Work Study reward
• Part-time Student Employee – 8-10 hrs/week

Duties and Essential Job Functions

• Clean and disinfect all equipment
• Work at a variety of different locations in the Ruxer Gym, JCCB Rec Room, ACE, or other event locations on campus
• Assist with set-up or tear down for events
• Enforce all gym and weight room rules, policies and regulations
• Inspect the Ruxer Gym weight room and report unsafe conditions/equipment to the Student Success & Engagement Coordinator
• Become familiar with all gym equipment in the facilities
• Attend and participate in all meetings/training
• Answer any questions from visitors

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED – required

Licenses/Certifications

• First Aid, BBP (Bloodborne Pathogens), CPR and AED certification – preferred, but not required
