Job summary

Duke University is seeking a Student Health Insurance Manager to oversee the Duke Student Medical Insurance Plan (SMIP) and the Student Dental Insurance Plan. This role partners with students, families, schools, offices, and insurers to ensure seamless access to health insurance resources and services that support academic and personal success.

You will lead enrollment, eligibility, and reporting while ensuring compliance and financial stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management, or related business discipline is required.
• Experience providing direct customer service to students, clients, patients, or the public.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee enrollment and waiver processes for the Duke Student Medical Insurance Plan and Student Dental Insurance Plan.
• Maintain student eligibility records and reconcile enrollment data.
• Provide enrollment analysis, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
• Coordinate education outreach, orientations, and awareness initiatives.
• supervise and develop insurance program staff and contribute to strategic planning.
