Job summary

Wayne County Schools Employment Network is seeking a S-1 General Supervision Aide for Allendale Elementary in Melvindale/Naples area. The role supports student safety and school operations at Allendale Elementary.

The position is on-site, part-time (2.5 hours/day, 40 weeks/year), with pay steps from $15.20 to $17.51 per hour. Responsibilities include guiding students, supervising lunchrooms and playgrounds, and assisting staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct students, parents, and other guests as they enter the building.
• Assist office staff with nonclerical responsibilities including but not limited to answering phone calls and answering door for visitors.
• Receive deliveries from parents (lunches, backpacks, homework, etc.)
• Receive delivery from post office, FedEX, EPS, etc.
• Assist in the supervision of the lunchrooms.
• Assist in supervision of the playground and/or indoor recess.
• Supervise students during drop off and dismissal.
• Cover lunches for office clerical staff.
• Monitor halls, check students for passes in halls during class time.
• Inspect lavatories, report violations of code of conduct to administration.
• Keep order and quiet in the halls while classes are passing.
• Keep students from loitering in hallways and lavatories.
• Other related assignments as requested by the principal or designee.
