UW-Stevens Point's Student Government Association seeks a Communications and Public Relations Director to lead the Public Relations and Marketing Team, coordinate media outreach, and manage the SGA website and social channels.

The role will plan events, produce a newsletter, create promotional materials, and collaborate with the Office of University Relations to raise campus visibility. It requires a minimum of 10 hours per week on campus, with routine transitional duties to ensure continuity.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Executive Director.
• Lead the Public Relations and Marketing Team.
• Promote student understanding and participation in SGA.
• Serve as SGA media relations coordinator.
• Inform campus and local media about SGA events, decisions, and policy.
• Manage all SGA graphics, images, and promotional materials.
• Plan and run the SGA's radio show.
• Coordinate and maintain SGA social media presence.
• Produce a regular newsletter.
• Develop, update, and manage the SGA website.
• Collaborate with fellow directors to plan campus events.
• Attend the SGA Senate and Executive Staff meetings.
• Serve a minimum of 10 hours per week in the SGA Office or related work.
• Meet near the end of each semester with the Executive Director to discuss transitional material.
• Other duties as assigned
