Job summary

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is seeking an SGA Student Health Affairs Director to chair the Student Health Advisory Committee and foster collaboration across campus health and wellness teams. You will promote wellness across seven dimensions and guide policy discussions on health, counseling, prevention, and safety.

In this role you will work with the Director of Student Health Services, Counseling Services, and the Reproductive Health Peer Educator, while engaging student leaders.

Responsibilities

• Chair the Student Health Advisory Committee and supervise health initiatives.
• Develop relationships with leaders from health and wellness student organizations.
• Coordinate with Directors of Student Health Services, Counseling Services, and other staff.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle across the seven dimensions of wellness.
• Address health, counseling, wellness, prevention, and safety concerns and policy.
• Attend health and wellness events and meetings.
• Recruit students to join the Student Health Advisory Committee.
• Serve on university health and wellness committees as needed.
• Attend Student Government Association Senate and Executive Staff meetings.
• Commit to at least 10 hours per week in the SGA office.
• Document transitional materials and maintain contacts.
