Job summary

Millersville University’s Department of Government, Law, & International Relations seeks tutors for AY 2026-2027. This student worker role supports tutoring hours for GOVT courses and assists students as needed.

Must be a current GOVT major in good standing, with a B+ or higher in courses tutored, and complete three required clearances. Pay is $10.00 per hour, up to 20 hours per week, with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Must be a current GOVT major in good academic standing.
• Must have taken one or more of the required Core GOVT courses: GOVT 111, GOVT 221, GOVT 231, GOVT 251.
• Must have a B+ or higher in the course(s) they tutor.
• Must complete 3 required clearances: PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students during tutoring hours and assist as needed.
• Maintain records of tutoring sessions and attendance.
• Coordinate tutoring hours with the coordinator and report hours as needed.
