History Tutor: One-on-One Student Support

Job summary

Millersville University’s History Department seeks a History Tutor to work one-on-one with students needing help in history courses. You will contact tutees, schedule sessions, and prepare for each tutoring meeting.

Qualifications include a B+ or higher in the tutoring course, faculty referral, and three required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, FBI fingerprints). A DARS report must be uploaded. Pay is $10.00 per hour and hours are varied.

Qualifications

• Students tutoring must have earned a B+ or higher in the course(s) tutoring.
• Must be referred by the faculty in the department.
• Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Responsibilities

• Tutor students for various History classes.
• Contact tutees and arrange sessions.
• Prepare for tutoring sessions
• Promptly reporting hours worked in E-Time.
