The Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin is hiring a Student Gallery Attendant to monitor the public exhibition space and provide a positive visitor experience during open hours.

Responsibilities include security, information delivery, and reporting any irregularities, with emphasis on safety and professional conduct. This is a 13‑hour per week, non‑exempt student position on UT's Main Campus.

Formación

• Must be enrolled as a student at UT Austin.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor and assist with security in the public exhibition space.
• Provide friendly information and orientation to visitors during hours and events.
• Follow procedures for opening/closing galleries and report irregularities.
• Document incidents and observed conditions, and coordinate with supervision.
