Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years finance-related experience.
• Associate's Degree with 1 year finance-related experience in an office environment.
• 3+ months bookkeeping or cashiering experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes student account records and verifies credit balances from financial aid funds to ensure timely and accurate distribution and delivery and compliance of federal regulations.
• Process, tracks, and maintains records of refund payments to students and parents to ensure account accuracy and proper record retention in compliance with federal regulations.
• Determines credit balance amounts for return to the appropriate source, assigns and directs the accounts to the appropriate ESS departments for processing to ensure compliance with federal regulations and established contractual agreements.
• Evaluates accounts to respond and counsel students on the disbursement and timely return of student loans to ensure compliance with federal regulations
• Responds to inquiries and resolves complex problems requiring broad understanding of work-area policies and procedures in a timely manner to ensure questions are addressed and resolved.
• Reviews, analyzes, and processes students' Unclaimed Property to ensure compliance with Federal and state regulations and guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
