Job summary

The Greeter and Sales Floor Assistant is a Federal Work Study position that serves as the first point of contact for customers by creating a welcoming and positive shopping experience. This position assists customers with locating merchandise, answering basic questions, maintaining an organized sales floor, and supporting daily retail operations.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude.
• Dependable with strong attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers as they enter the store and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering general questions.
• Direct customers to appropriate staff members for specialized assistance when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor.
• Restock merchandise and straighten displays throughout the day.
• Monitor fitting rooms, merchandise displays, and customer areas as assigned.
• Assist with promotional displays, seasonal merchandise, and store presentations.
• Support inventory organization and light stocking duties.
• Assist with basic housekeeping tasks to maintain an inviting shopping environment.
• Help with customer purchases, bagging, or other front-end support as needed.
• Perform other retail and customer service duties as assigned.
