Job summary

Pierce Mortuary Colleges, Inc. is seeking a Financial Aid Representative to manage and supervise all federal, state, private and institutional financial aid processes. This role supports enrollment and ensures compliance with applicable guidelines and audits.

You will provide counseling to students and families, conduct workshops, assess applications, and collaborate with academic staff to ensure timely aid delivery and equitable access to education. This position is onsite in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field such as education, counseling, finance, or business administration.
• Minimum 1 year experience in financial aid administration or higher education.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and regulations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one financial aid counseling to students and families.
• Conduct workshops on financial aid programs, including grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study opportunities.
• Assess applications and determine eligibility for various financial aid programs.
• Collaborate with academic advisors, admissions representatives, and other campus stakeholders.
• Manage scholarship programs, including application processes, selection committees, award disbursement, and donor compliance.
• Stay updated on changes to financial aid policies and communicate updates to students and staff.
• Assist with financial aid appeals and special circumstances requests.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of financial aid transactions.
• Participate in outreach to recruit and retain students and promote financial literacy.
• Provide direction for interpretation and implementation of policies and ensure compliant procedures.
