Job summary

Marymount University seeks a Student Financial Planner in Student Financial Services. The role serves as the primary contact for tuition and financial questions, providing exceptional customer service and guiding students to map tuition costs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent work experience in higher education administration.
  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in an applicable role.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive responses to student inquiries regarding all payment options, including tuition assistance and financial aid awards.
  • Create financial enrollment plans based on financial aid, payment plans and other sources of payment.
  • Interact with students and families in-person, via phone, and virtually to counsel on payment options and affordability.
  • Maintain knowledge of policies, federal Title IV regulations, and Marymount scholarship opportunities.
  • Outreach to resolve outstanding account balances and collaborate with Financial Aid and Registrar offices.

Reporting to the Director of Student Financial Services and Bursar, the Student Financial Planner will serve as the primary point of contact for all tuition and student financial questions. The right candidate will provide excellent customer service and support, and offer student financial guidance to ensure students are on the path to a successful experience at Marymount. The Student Financial Planner will work proactively and reactively with prospective and existing students to recommend and develop financial plans mapping tuition costs throughout the student life-cycle.
