Job summary

Southwest Tennessee Community College is seeking a Financial Aid Specialist to provide excellent customer service and counseling to students and parents regarding Federal, State, and Institutional financial aid options. The role requires traveling between two main campuses and occasional statewide meetings, with some evening/weekend hours.

The position reports to the Associate Director of Financial Aid and is based at SWTCC with multiple campus locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Two years of work experience in a financial aid office or related area.
• Ability to travel between two main campuses and statewide meetings.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Administers verification and awarding of Federal Financial Aid programs.
• Counsels students and parents through the financial aid process.
• Administers Tennessee State financial aid programs.
• Manages a large caseload with accuracy and teamwork.
