You will present options, counsel individuals, and determine eligibility for federal, state, and institutional aid while ensuring accurate records and compliance.

The role requires collaboration with campus departments, staying current on regulations, and supporting policy development to improve efficiency and service to students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or education is required.
• Experience in financial aid or student services in higher education is required.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Customer service mindset focused on student success.
• Proficient with financial aid software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with the financial aid process—applications, documents, and forms.
• Conduct financial aid presentations and counseling sessions.
• Evaluate aid eligibility for federal, state, and institutional programs.
• Maintain accurate financial aid records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with campus departments to resolve aid issues.
• Stay updated on changes in financial aid regulations and communicate changes.
• Contribute to development and implementation of aid policies and procedures.
