Job summary

PCI Health Training Center in Dallas is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to guide students through the aid process from application to disbursement. You will interview students, explain funding options, and ensure compliance with Title IV and TWC requirements.

This role supports enrollment by helping with FAFSA, ISIRs, loan counseling, and disbursement coordination, maintaining confidential records, and collaborating with the business office and academics to promote timely, accurate aid packages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred.
• 1+ year of financial aid or related experience.
• Familiar with FAFSA and Title IV aid programs.
• Strong attention to detail with confidential records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable with student information/aid systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual financial aid interviews with prospective and continuing students to review funding options.
• Assist students with FAFSA, ISIRs, and gathering required documentation.
• Verify documents and ensure files are accurate and complete before packaging.
• Package and award federal (Pell Grant, Direct Loans), state, institutional, and other aid per Title IV regulations and school policy.
• Conduct entrance and exit loan counseling and communicate borrower rights and responsibilities.
• Explain enrollment agreements, tuition charges, refunds, and Return of Title IV Funds (R2T4) implications to students.
• Monitor Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) impacts on eligibility and coordinate with academics as needed.
• Maintain audit-ready student files and timely record activity in the school's information system.
• Coordinate disbursements with the business office and follow up on missing documents and balances.
• Support students with VA education benefits and other third-party funding where applicable.
• Respond to student and family inquiries promptly, professionally, and with empathy.
• Uphold confidentiality under FERPA and all applicable privacy standards.
• Support compliance with ACCSC accreditation standards, U.S. Department of Education, and TWC requirements.
