Job summary

Covista, America’s largest healthcare educator, seeks a Student Finance Advisor to support prospective students with financial aid guidance and literacy. This on-site role partners with enrollment to review programs and costs and to present funding options to help students start and persist in their education.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year in higher education or advising, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 1+ year in higher education or related advising experience.
• Experience with Student Financial Aid software preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Supports prospective students and applicants throughout the new student process by collaborating with enrollment to explain program costs and funding options.
• Create and confirm a financial plan with timelines for completing applications and starting school.
• Maintain student satisfaction through inbound/outbound calls, emails, and SMS communications.
• Attend and support campus connection sessions with the enrollment team and student support liaison.
• Document all interactions in institutional systems accurately and thoroughly.
• Educate students on cost of attendance, funding timelines, repayment considerations, and continued enrollment implications.
• Assist students through virtual advising, calls, e-mails, and proactive outreach to resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve advising methods and promote self-service tools.
• Support new student intake by reviewing costs and funding options and setting timelines for applications.
• Meet service level expectations for response time, quality, and satisfaction across channels.
• Follow up on financial requirements to minimize enrollment barriers.
• Ensure compliant financial information per institutional policies and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
