Legal Aid Society in Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time student research fellow to support in consumer law and medical/legal partnerships. The role is temporary for the 2026-2027 school year, with up to 20 hours per week. Work environment includes office and community settings, reporting to Advocacy Director.
Responsibilities include preparing legal documents, communicating with clients, and maintaining case files. Bachelor’s degree required; second language skills preferred.

Part-time hourly paid student research fellow to provide support in the areas of consumer law and medical/legal partnerships. The position is temporary hourly paid student position for the current 2026-2027 school year. It may be eligible for renewal subject to funding and the agreement of LAS and the Fellow. The Fellow may work up to 20 hours per week. Specific hourly schedule to be determined based on need of LAS and student’s availability.
Assist Legal Aid Society in administrative support of legal cases and client services.
Work is performed in the office setting and in the community. Reports to Advocacy Director or other designated manager.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, controls or equipment; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
