The Legal Aid Society is seeking a Development Associate to provide administrative and operational support for fundraising and communications. Key duties include donor gift processing, data entry in Raiser's Edge, and grant administration assistance.
You will help with acknowledgements, online donations, and reporting while supporting staff attorneys and paralegals with limited administrative duties. This full-time exempt role reports to the Development Director and Communications supervisor.

Purpose of job: The Development Associate provides administrative and operational support for the Legal Aid Society’s fundraising and communications efforts. Primary responsibilities include donor gift processing, donor database management, acknowledgement and stewardship activities, online donation management, cash receipt processing, and general support for development initiatives. The Development Associate also assists with grant administration, data entry, and other projects that support the organization’s mission and fundraising goals. Additionally, this position will provide support to staff attorneys and paralegals in limited execution of administrative duties in the provision of legal services.
Work Environment: Work is performed in the office setting, in the courts, and in the community.
This is a full time salaried exempt position and reports to the Development Director and Communications or other designated supervisor.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, controls or equipment; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
