Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Student Facility Attendant for Campus Recreation. You will ensure the health, safety and welfare of those using facilities, greet guests, manage access, and support event setup and daily operations on campus.

Position is tied to a Federal Work Study award, with an hourly starting rate of $13.00. Training occurs in August during Welcome Week; shifts may include days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid/AED certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create the “First Impression” for the Campus Recreation facilities.
• Open and close program areas within Campus Recreation buildings and guide participants to areas or staff for help.
• Greet and verify guests using Fusion facility management software.
• Answer phones, issue equipment, perform routine building checks, and enforce facility rules.
• Assist in safety, security, and risk management for facilities.
• Support event set up and tear down.
• Spot clean equipment and return items to storage.
• Conduct scheduled room checks and counts.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain professionalism while assisting members.
