Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Part-time Student Facility Attendant for the White Building under Campus Recreation. You will open/close areas, greet guests, check IDs, answer phones, issue equipment and perform routine checks while enforcing safety guidelines.

As a Penn State student, you will assist in event setup, support safety and security tasks, and provide backup coverage for shifts beyond normal hours. Training may be required in August during Welcome Week.

Responsibilities

• Create the first impression for Campus Recreation facilities.
• Open and close program areas and direct participants to proper areas.
• Greet guests and check IDs using Fusion facility management software.
• Answer phones, issue equipment, and perform routine building checks.
• Enforce facility usage guidelines and safety procedures.
• Assist in safety, security and risk management; support event setup/teardown.
• Spot-clean equipment and return items to storage; conduct room checks and counts.
• Attend staff meetings and maintain professionalism at all times.
• Provide backup to facility access staff and cover shifts as needed.
