Job summary

Antelope Valley College seeks an Outreach and Recruitment liaison to connect high school districts, campus and community organizations with AVC programs and services.

The role develops events, presentations, and marketing strategies to promote college attendance, assists in enrollment efforts, and coordinates a diverse array of community partnerships, including evenings and weekend activities.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating with prospective students and families.
• Ability to present information to diverse groups.
• Familiarity with recruitment and enrollment processes.
• Knowledge of financial aid basics.
• Proficiency in maintaining records and reporting.
• Ability to train and coordinate student workers.
• Understanding of state education codes basics.
• Adequate lifting and physical mobility for events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize student and community programs and events.
• Promote attendance at AVC and higher education institutions.
• Coordinate outreach at schools, fairs, and campus activities.
• Disseminate information on programs and financial aid.
• Maintain contacts and follow up with prospective students.
• Travel to communities as needed.
