Job summary

Penn State University is seeking a Student Engagement Coordinator to develop and support co-curricular sustainability programs and events for students across campus. You will work with internal and external partners to create resources, tools, and activities that promote student learning and balance between academics and co-curricular life.

The role involves coordinating event planning, budgeting, and communications, supervising student staff, and contributing to Sustain Penn State initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate the creation of robust co-curricular sustainability-focused educational experiences for students.
• Provide guidance and support to clubs and organizations on campus engaged in sustainability-focused activities.
• Develop, implement, plan, and assess programs and services for the campus community.
• Develop strategies to foster campus and community involvement for faculty, staff, and students.
• Manage and coordinate all event contracts and budget allocation.
• Disseminate internal and external communications about activities.
• Assess educational programs to evaluate student learning and identify gaps in educational needs.
• Collaborate with campus departments and units on service opportunities and partnerships.
• Coordinate promotion and advertising of events on campus.
• Coordinate event planning to ensure room reservations, setup, and vendor compliance.
• Supervise student employees, including hiring and performance management.
• Complete duties as assigned as part of Sustain Penn State.
